The CNRS initiates bilateral dialogues with major international research organizations through “PhD Joint Programmes”. Each selected joint project will provide funding for a 3-year PhD scholarship, and mobility between France and the partner country.
For each project, there will be two PI – one from the CNRS and one from the partner institution – and two PhD students, one from the CNRS UMR and one from the partner university. CNRS doctoral contracts are due to start in autumn 2024.

These calls are open to all disciplines, although certain thematic priorities are highlighted in some calls.
