Calls for proposals of the French Ministry of European & Foreign Affairs
The Hubert Curien Partnerships (PHC) are part of the French Ministry of European & Foreign Affairs’ policy of support to international science and technology exchanges. They are implemented with the support of the French Ministry of Higher Education, Research & Innovation. The calls for proposals are launched by Campus France.
Some countries do not beneficiate from PHC calls however other appropriate bilateral calls are launched with the support of the Embassies.
A few examples for Europe & Russia : Churchill College de Cambridge Fellowships with Great-Britain, ACCESS et PARCECO programmes with Central & Eastern European countries, Vernadski doctoral fellowships with Russia, Université franco-Allemande (UFA).
The French embassies in Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark also offer the “French-Nordic Research” platform, which provides information on mobility programs in the Nordic countries.
A fex examples for the United-States & Latine America : COFECUB programme with Brazil, ECOS-Sud and ECOS-Nord with Mexico, Chile, Peru, Colombia, Uruguay and Argentina, Stic Math and Climat Amsud with Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Ecuador, Joint Franco-American Funds such as the France-Berkeley Fund, the Thomas Jefferson Fund, the France-Standford Fund, the France-Chicago Fund, the Alliance Programme and the France-MIT Fund, the Chateaubriand Fellowship Program and the France-Canada Research Fund for franco-canadian collaborations.

The French National Research Agency (ANR)
ANR provides French research teams with funding instruments through specific calls for international projects, outside of the generic call that is also open to international collaborations.

Japan Society for the Promotion of Science
The Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) is an independent administrative institution, established for the purpose of contributing to the advancement of science in all fields of the natural and social sciences and the humanities. JSPS plays a pivotal role in the administration of a wide spectrum of Japan’s scientific and academic programs. JSPS’s operation is supported in large part by annual subsidies from the Japanese Government.
EIG Concert-Japan
The European Interest Group (EIG) CONCERT-Japan is an international initiative to support and enhance science, technology and innovation (STI) cooperation between European countries and Japan. Its primary function is to collaboratively implement multilateral joint funding. As far as it is relevant to that objective, the EIG CONCERT-Japan also aims to facilitate coordination between participating organisations in their activities relating to the programmes of the European Union and those undertaken within other international collaborative frameworks, through the identification of common preferences, priorities and areas of mutual interest. Japan being a priority partner in the world, the CNRS is a member of the EIG CONCERT-Japan and hosts its executive secretariat. Personel working in CNRS units are thus eligible to the calls for proposals launched by CONCERT-Japan.
