This institutional trip was aimed at defining the outlines of a more intense collaboration with the Danish institutions and increasing the CNRS visibility in Northern Europe.
The delegation, composed of representatives from the CNRS Institutes working on Arctic research, climate and environment, biological sciences, physics, mathematics, energy, information sciences, and humanities and social sciences, including the international relations, visited the University of Copenhagen, the Technical University of Denmark, the Danish Cancer Society and the University of Aarhus.
Institutional and working meetings, and laboratory visits led to fruitful exchanges with the Danish counterparts and to a strengthening of the scientific links. Thus, the CNRS and the University of Copenhagen have reaffirmed their willingness to launch a PhD Joint Programme.
In addition, Mrs. Caroline Ferrari, the French Ambassador to Denmark, hosted a reception at the French Embassy in Copenhagen for the CNRS delegation and many Danish key players in the fields of research and innovation.
