Visits of two German high level delegations at the CNRS headquarters

Les 18 & 19 février 2019 deux réunions de haut niveau accueillies au siège du CNRS se sont tenues entre Antoine Petit, président-directeur général du CNRS et les représentants de deux importantes institutions de recherche allemandes, l'Association Helmholtz et la DLR (Centre aérospatial).

On February 18th and 19th 2019 two high level meetings were held at CNRS headquarters between Antoine Petit, Chief Executive Officer of CNRS,and high representatives of the Helmotz Association and the German Space Agency (DLR).

February 18th 2019: The meeting between Otmar Wiestler, President of the Helmholtz Association, and Antoine Petit, President of the CNRS, facilitated the exploration of specific areas where both RPOs could intensify their institutional cooperation and reinforce their common efforts in strengthening the ERA. Fruitful discussions were held in the field of health and data science. Outcomes of the meeting included a joint initiative on digital health and the signature of an LoI in the field of nuclear, high energy & astroparticle physics.

February 19th 2019: The meeting between Pascale Ehrenfreund, Chair of the DLR Executive Board (German Space Agency), with Antoine Petit led to productive exchanges on opportunities of collaboration in the fields of earth observation, energy, and artificial intelligence and robotics.
