Missions abroad

Following an improvement in the sanitary situation, missions abroad are allowed again, in ways varying from country to country and from travelers vaccination status.

As a consequence, missions abroad of CNRS agents or missions abroad funded by CNRS are authorized according to the usual risk management framework (for countries at risk) that takes into account the country geopolitical situation and safety, as assessed by the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs as well as the pandemic situation published by the French government.

The updated list of the countries at risk is available on the Intranet.

All information regarding departure abroad is available on the intranet section  « Partir en mission », in particular the steps to follow prior departure. For any further question, we invite you to contact your CNRS regional office.

Reminder :

  • All travel orders must be established prior to departure and signed by unit directors.
  • Each agent is responsible for checking the necessary documents and/or administrative and sanitary constraints prior to their departure abroad and on their return. When asking for a travel order, the agent must provide a synthesis to the travel mission signatory.
